Kade Meyer lost his life at the precious age of 7½ in September, 2010, when he was killed by a car outside of his elementary school. Kade was a happy, healthy, fun loving and compassionate little boy who always had a smile on his face. Together with friends and family, the Meyer family established the Kade Meyer Memorial Scholarship to assist students needing financial support for their education after high school. An annual scholarship will be awarded to a GEHS senior(s) in Kade’s memory through the class of 2021, which would have been Kade’s graduation year. Counting this year, 21 Gardner-Edgerton High School graduating Seniors have received a total of $69,000.00 in scholarship money since 2011.
