ROCK HILL, N.C. — The Ohio track & field team wrapped up its solid showing at the Adidas Winthrop University Invitational picking up an additional two wins and racked up 15 top 10 finishes.
Ohio senior Ashlee Bilhimer (Gardner, Kan.) won the javelin throw with a distance of 130’ 10 3/4”. Senior Chanda Cuckler (Athens, Ohio) took seventh at 113’ 6 1/2” and sophomore Emma Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) was ninth at 113’ 2 1/4”.
Cuckler finished third in the 100 hurdles clocking a time of 14.75 after posting the seventh-fastest qualifying time yesterday.
Ryan was sixth in the discus with a throw of 137’ 10 1/4”.
Ohio senior Erika Armstead (Cincinnati, Ohio) was fourth in the triple jump reaching 35’5”.
Ohio sophomore Jennifer Fockler (Canton, Ohio) won the women’s developmental 800 clocking a time of 2:22.27
Senior Tessa Weigand (Akron, Ohio) was second in the 1,500 and the top collegiate finisher with at me of 4:37.57. Junior Hannah Wishart (Powell, Ohio) was fifth at 4:42.97, freshman Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio) was sixth at 4:44.25 and freshman Josie Woosley (Pataskala, Ohio) was ninth at 4:54.23.
Senior Hayley Stegemiller (Lebanon, Ohio) was fourth in the 800 meter run clocking a time of 2:15.42. Sophomore Kaitlyn Logan (Granville, Ohio) was sixth at 2:15.42 while Weigand was ninth (2:17.85) and Deering was 10th at 2:18.20.
The Bobcats return to action hosting the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational next Saturday.
