Investigators Are Looking For A Vehicle Used In A Kidnapping And Assault of Deputy in Olathe

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance with the vehicle pictured below. The vehicle is possibly a newer model Mazda 4 door, or similar body styled make and model, dark blue in color.


At approximately 11:30 pm on 10/07/16, the vehicle was observed in the area of 101 N. Kansas Ave., Olathe, KS, in a parking lot adjacent to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center. A white male occupant of the vehicle forced an off duty female deputy into the car against her will. At approximately 1:30 am on 10/08/16, the woman escaped from the vehicle in Lee’s Summit Missouri in the area of I-470 and NE Woods Chapel Rd.

The vehicle appears to have both a rear and front license plate. We do not have a license plate state or number available for release at this time.
