The Johnson County Library, along with Johnson County Health and Environment and the Positive Aging Coalition, will be hosting a program entitled, “Senior Health Simplified” at the Gardner Library, 137 E Shawnee, Gardner, Ks, from 1:30 to 3:00 on Friday, April 29th. This free program for individuals 60 and over and/or caregivers provides pointers on how to get the most out of your doctor visits and empowers you to manage your health. This program will speak particularly about questions to ask during a medical appointment including tests, diagnosis, treatment options, medications and prevention. A multitude of additional health and aging information resources will be shared as well as handy templates for keeping track of medications, dosages, frequency, appointment dates and times, etc. The free book you’ll receive, “What to do for Senior Health”, is easy to read (it’s in large print) and easy to use. Registration is not required.
