No Shave November Gives Big

From the Gardner Police Department Facebook Page:

The Gardner Police Department was very proud to present Travis and Becky Jones with $1,050.00 today. Officers gave a minimum donation of $30 and in return were allowed to grow their facial hair for the month of November. The female officers also donated out of the goodness of their heart. No Shave November was a big success this year and we are proud to support families like the Jones.

Becky is currently in a battle with cancer. Travis is a former member of the Gardner Police Department and is currently employed by the Kansas Highway Patrol. Becky worked for the City of Gardner as well and is currently employed by Johnson County Parks and Recreation.

Officer’s who participated still have a couple more days to enjoy the facial hair before they have to start shaving again.

The Gardner Police Department would also like to thank the Gardner Public Works Department as well as other citizens who also donated to help the Jones.
