10:00 am to 3:00 pm in front of the Gardner Price Chopper - Marta Howell, Elizabeth Casselman, Brandi Crowell, Elizabeth Herriott and Tammi Brown will be hosting a bake sale. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association for the 2010 Step Out to Fight Diabetes Walk. The Walk will be held the following Saturday, September 25th, at Theis Park, across from the Nelson Atkins Art Museum. The 8th annual Open Arms golf tournament fundraiser is Sept. 26 at Prairie Highlands Golf Course. The tournament is a four person team scramble with included lunch served at 12:30 p.m. and tee time at 2 p.m. The entry fee is $72/person and proceeds go to help with operational expenses at the Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center in Gardner.
