Edgerton, Kan. Report of the Thursday, May 10, 2012 meeting. Park and Recreation The Edgerton City Council spent considerable time debating the options and opportunities for expansion of Park and Recreation programming for Edgerton residents. Discussion covered areas including the viability of competitive leagues, recreational activities, staff requirements and opportunities for youth employment as umpires and concession stand workers. The City established a Park and Recreation Committee in 2009, due to lack of participation in Park and Recreation sponsored events, the members of the Committee resigned earlier this month. The Council discussed the need for an intern or paid staff to organize and promote Park and Recreation events.
