WOW!!!! Hats off to Relay for Life and the Gardner Community Theater. Gardner Kansas was the best place to be this past weekend.

On Friday July 10th I went to Relay for Life. I there this year as a 1st time survivor along with my sister Lois Barber. We walked side by side in the 1st lap. Relay for Life is a great thing. We just have to find a cure for this dreadful C-word. I do not even like to say the word. I had not wanted to attend and I almost didn't. I didn't really want people to know I had had cancer. I was glad that I did because it was had a sense of healing in itself. I think Lois felt the same. As we began the first lap John Kirgen cheered us on. Then he ran across the field and continued to cheer us at several points. We so appreciated all the little gifts given to us by people in the different "Team Camps". As we came around to the finish the entire crowd in the stadium cheered us. It was truly warm fuzzies. Later the Gardner Community players came by after their opener and did a few songs from their show this year Bye Bye Birdie.

On Saturday July 11 my hubby and I attended Bye Bye Birdie. They did it again. What a great show!! My compliments to everyone in the show and in support of the show in any way. With all that is going on in the world today in America and even here in Gardner Ks. What a joy to be able to escape to another time and place for a couple of hours. To be able to spend a summer evening seeing a nice show having a good old belly laugh at some of your own relatives, Becky and Joe DeNoon, great job, of being Mother and son as you really are. My sister took my nephew on Sunday. My Nephew who has attended PRMS said "Mr. Fibelkorn had the best part" I rather enjoyed his son Brian in the part of Conrad Birdie.

To Dan Naden his lovely wife Paula and to all the rest of the board, and everyone connected to the show in any way big or small. Thank you so much for bringing these productions to us and for all your hard work. I look forward to the next one.

I am severely biased as my children have been part of the GCT since its inception. I think the entire board board and cast should be highly commended for yet another stellar performance.

Thats was drew me to Gard/Edge its small town, community-togetherness-feel. I hope and Pray that last forever.
