Sarah Arnold with her children Luke and Sadie after voting at New Life Community Church.
Sarah Arnold was at New Life Community Church to vote this afternoon with her children Luke and Sadie. When asked what brought her out to the polls today, Arnold said, “I’m disappointed that I had to vote at all. I already voted for the two on the ballot and I’m frustrated that I had to vote again to keep them in office. This election is an unnecessary and wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars."
Rich Olson, of Overland Park was Supervising Judge of the polls at New Life Community Church today. He said, “Turn out has been steady all day. He continued, “but not overwhelming at any point.” I also asked Mr. Olson about the facility and he said, “This is a great facility and we are happy to be here and thank the Church for opening their doors for us.” New Life Church donated their space for today’s election.
I also asked Donnica Griggs what brought her to the polls today. She said, “I am concerned about the property and other taxes I pay and want the Council to take actions that will reduce my property taxes. I also want the Council to take votes that will increase the number of available jobs, not chase them away.” Griggs was at the polls with her children Matthew, Ethan and Ryan.
