It's here! The long-awaited GEHS spring vacation band trip to Orlando is finally here! 114 students, 10 sponsors and 10 chaperons/just-can't-let-you-go-without-me's will board the bus on Wednesday evening, March 10. Our musicians have three performances at Disney Hollywood Studio Park on Saturday - Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band. Each performance is in conjunction with a competition, and will be judged. On Saturday, the band will participate in in Main Street Parade in the Magic Kingdom.
The entire tired group will return on Wednesday, March 17.
We've been hearing them practice in the mornings again. Surely a sign of spring! We were wondering what they were up to, working so hard on marching again, just like in the fall. Hope they have a successful and fun trip.
