1st Annual Brent Bays 5K Run/Walk Quickly Approaching

The date is quickly approaching for the 1st annual Brent Bays 5K Run/Walk. We are still looking for sponsors, volunteers and participants! The Brent Bays Foundation, Inc. is an organization of volunteers whose purpose is to raise money for individuals in and around the Gardner, Kansas area who have been financially impacted by a battle with cancer. The Brent Bays Foundation, Inc. was created in honor of Brent Bays, an active member of the Gardner Community who has coached youth sports for many years. He began his battle with esophageal cancer in 2007, was in remission until 2009, and was recently diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer.

The 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday May 16, 2010 at 8:00am. The event will be held at Celebration Park which is located at 32701 W. 159th Street in Gardner, Kansas. After the Run/Walk, there will be an opportunity for individuals of all ages to participate in "Bases for Brent". Individuals and families can run bases to support a great cause and a great community!

Registration for the 5K Run/Walk or the "Bases for Brent" can be done by going to our website at www.bbfcancer.org. Registration is $25.00 if you register by April 30, 2010 and will be $30.00 after that date. Also the deadline for sponsors to guarantee a name or logo on event t-shirts is March 31, 2010.
