Fundraisers for the Sons of the American Legion Scholarship Fund

Gardner's American Legion/American Legion Riders Post 19 consists of individuals committed to service. It's service that brought them together, and the service continues. Now it takes a myriad of forms.

The Post in holding Mouse Races & Mouse Roulette at Legion Hall, 315 Meadowbrook Circle, Gardner, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Saturday, March 27. You can sponsor (and name!) a mouse for $25, sponsor an entire race for $50, or sponsor the entire night for $200. Grand Champion Mouse pays $50. All proceeds benefit the SAL Scholarship Fund. Prairie Wind Band will be featured. Wagering on each race - half the pot divided on the winner. Half pot divided on the winning roulette number. The American Legion Riders are holding a drawing for a 532 Mossberg 12 gauge pump shotgun. They still have some tickets available - $5 donation for 1 ticket or $20 donation for a book of 6. Tickets are available at the American Legion bar. Ask for Rebecca or Jeff. The drawing will be held on April 14, 2010.
