OLATHE, Kans. — The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program will be available to assist with tax return preparations at the El Centro site located in the Living Waters Fellowship Church, 217 West Park, in Olathe. The service is first-come/first served on April 3 and 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and April 6 from noon to 4 p.m.
Persons earning less than $49,000, who only worked in Kansas and/or Missouri last year, and who do not own rental property are eligible for this free service. Bring the following documents with you: W-2 forms, social security card or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) cards for yourself and your dependents, and a photo ID. It is preferred that you also bring your 2008 tax return. Expect to spend an hour preparing the return. For more information, call the Johnson County Extension office at (913) 715-7000.

Here is another opportunity for seniors wrote on 3/30/2010 8:20 am
to assist others here in the Gardner Community. Perhaps some people will step forward to bring a service of this kind to Gardner residents next year.
Help is also available for people wrote on 3/30/2010 8:18 am
at the Olathe library. It is a first come, first served basis I believe and they begin most days at 10:00.
