Blazer Gatorade Scrimmage - a good way to support our Blazers: UPDATED AGAIN!
Soccer Scrimmage Cancelled
Posted on Aug. 26th, 2010
Nearly any time is a good time to be a Blazer. This week, however, being a Blazer means your heart aches. Our GEHS students are learning some tough life lessons. One of them is that life goes on.
And so, this Friday, August 27, is GEHS' annual Scrimmage Night. It's essentially a 'sneak peek' at this year's teams. The volleyball, cross country and football teams will all participate. The schedule is:
5:00 Volleyball Scrimmage in Main Gym
5:30 Cross Country Road Race
6:00 Football Scrimmage at DAC
Family, friends and fans can come check out the action. Watch your favorite players from last year, but keep an eye open for the new players! Admission is a bottle of gatorade or similar appropriate beverage - to be utilized for the various teams through the season. The night is capped off with the annual "Back to School Dance" for GEHS students.
Scrimmage Night is a community event - and a great time to show support for our student athletes and GEHS students in general. Throughout the year they participate in and contribute to our community in numerous ways. Let's show up for them.
As a reminder, visitation for Andrew Hurd is also being held Friday evening - from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fellowship Bible Church, 16900 S Waverly Rd, Gardner, KS. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 28, 2010 at New Life Community Church, 17935 S Moonlight Rd., Gardner, KS.
