Child Struck By Vehicle at Madison Elementary School dies

On September 2, 2010 at 1536 hours, Gardner officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a child struck by a vehicle in the 700 Blk. W. Madison.
Upon arrival, officers found that a 7-year-old male had been struck by a motor vehicle while attempting to cross the street between two vehicles.
It was later announced that the 7-year-old did not survive.
Gardner Public Safety officers, as well as an Accident Reconstruction Team, are currently working together. Investigation is ongoing.

Absolutely horrible situation for the family and the driver of the car. My heart is hurting for all of you. I am no sorry for this loss.

My heart goes out to those who lost a child & those that have to go through life knowing they took a life. lets not 4get that there is someone else hurting knowing they were apart of something no one should have to go through. i pray for poth families involved.
