Blazer Volleyball wins first EKL contest

The Blazer volleyball team traveled to Blue Valley North Tuesday for its first EKL match up. In a best of 5 dual the Blazers fought through some late match fatigue to get their first win of the season. Game scores were 19-25, 26-16, 18-25, 25-15 and 15-10.
Many players stepped up throughout the night, including sophomore Cassie Wait with 27 kills and 16 digs, freshman Jill Starling with 14 kills, senior Phoebe Janssen with 9 blocks, sophomore Hannah Bettge with 44 assists, and senior Lacey Cole with 20 digs. The Varsity team travels to the Baldwin Tournament this Saturday.
The JV volleyball team was also in action falling to BVN 13-25, 13-25. Sophomore Shelbe VanDeBerghe had 4 kills and sophomore Teddi Wade had 9 digs. The JV squad travels to the Spring Hill Tournament on Saturday.
The sophomore volleyball team also played Blue Valley North last night losing in two, 6-25, 17-25.
