Time Warner Cable Metro Sports’ Annual Volleyball Slam Returns to St. James Academy this Saturday
Sixteen of the area’s top teams will compete; admission only $5 for day-long event

KANSAS CITY (August 22, 2012) – Kansas City’s premier volleyball showcase returns this weekend, as the third annual Metro Sports Volleyball Slam will kick off the prep volleyball season on Saturday, August 25 at St. James Academy.
This year 16 of the area’s top high school volleyball teams will be in action, and all the games will be taped and replayed in high-definition throughout the weekend on Metro Sports. All of the Metro Sports Volleyball Slam games will be played at St. James Academy (24505 Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa, Kan.) with the first game starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Admission to the entire session, featuring eight games, is only $5.
“We always talk about how Metro Sports’ commitment to high school sports is unmatched in the Kansas City area, and the Volleyball Slam is another great example of that,” said Chris Huwe, TWC Metro Sports General Manager. “This has become a ‘can’t-miss’ event for volleyball fans here in Kansas City, and we expect another great turnout this year.”
