Washington, D.C. – Congressman Kevin Yoder today received the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence. The NAM award is given to Members of Congress whose voting record on key manufacturing votes demonstrates an understanding of, and support for, the manufacturing sector’s role in both the Kansas and the U.S. economy. The National Association of Manufacturers held the award presentation at the Thermo Fisher Scientific facility in Lenexa.
NAM keeps track of key votes it views as important to the manufacturing sector and awards the recognition to Members of Congress with favorable voting records of at least 70 percent. Congressman Yoder received a favorable NAM voting record of 92 percent during the 112th Session of Congress.
“I’m honored to receive the National Association of Manufacturers Award for Legislative Excellence,” stated Congressman Yoder. “Manufacturing jobs are a critical element of our national economy, and I will continue to do what I can to help job creators and entrepreneurs succeed.”
