Gardner PD No-Shave November Benefits Local Family

From the Gardner Police Department Facebook Page:

The arrival of November marks many things, including the police department’s no shave November event. As in years past, officers will be donating a minimum of 30 dollars to participate. During the month of November, officers that donate will be allowed to grow beards, which is something we are not usually allowed to do.

As in years past, this money will be donated to a local family in need due to a battle with cancer. This year, we have selected Travis and Becky Jones and their family to receive the funds. Becky is currently in a battle with cancer. Travis is a former member of the Gardner Police Department and is currently employed by the Kansas Highway Patrol. Becky worked for the city of Gardner as well and is currently employed with Johnson County Parks and Recreation.

So, in short, please excuse our scruffy faces for the next month as it goes to a good cause. Pictured are just a few of the officers and staff who are participating. We will update with another picture at the end of the month with the total amount raised. Please join us in keeping the Jones family in your thoughts.
