GARDNER POLICE DEPARTMENT MAKES ARREST IN PRESLEY PORTING CASE

 On today’s date, the Gardner Police Department arrested Lindsey Thomasson in connection with the February 7, 2017, death of 2-year old Gardner resident Presley Porting.  Ms. Thomasson resided with the victim and the victim’s biological father at the time of the victim’s death.  Ms. Thomasson is charged with first degree murder and is currently being held at the Johnson County Jail with a $2 million dollar bond.

Gardner Police Chief Jim Pruetting would like to thank Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe, Assistant District Attorney Jason Covington, and Johnson County Sheriff Calvin Hayden and his department’s Criminal Investigations Laboratory for their assistance.

Ms. Thomasson should be presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
