Extension to offer retirement planning course


OLATHE, Kan. — Johnson County K-State Research and Extension is offering the three-part course Retirement Planning Today, Thursdays, October 13, 20 and 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Extension Office, 11811 S. Sunset Drive in Olathe.

The course introduces concepts and practices that will help you gain control of your finances and enjoy a comfortable retirement. You will learn important information about how to realize more from your investments, Social Security and retirement plans. The course will also show you how to protect your hard-earned assets from erosion due to inflation and the possible cost of long-term health care.

The course is taught by certified financial planner Fred Overton of Financial Professionals Incorporated. The fee is $49 per individual and $69 per couple. Register at 913-715-7000 or online at http://www.johnson.k-state.edu/classes-events.
