EDGERTON, Kan. (August 31, 2016) – The Learning & Career Center (LCC) at Logistics Park Kansas City (LPKC) has changed its hours of operation to Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition to changing its operating hours to three days per week, the LCC will soon be offering new programs to local job seekers. The LCC is a collaborative effort between several local public and private entities that joined forces to create the center to meet the current and future training and employment needs of present and potential companies located at LPKC. The partners include the City of Edgerton, Kan., Johnson County Community College (JCCC), Workforce Partnership, BNSF Railway, NorthPoint Development and Southwest Johnson County Economic Development Corporation.

With a staffing specialist onsite three days per week, the LCC provides employer and job seeker services — at no cost. Services include free online job postings, job seeker screening, recruiting and events (informational sessions and job fairs), assessments, work-based learning, labor market information, salary comparison analysis and job description development.
