James “Jim” George Hasse, Sr., 71, of Gardner, KS passed away Feb. 10, 2018 at Olathe Medical Center. Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Am. Jim was born Oct. 19, 1946 in Elmhurst, IL to Herbert Edwin and Bertha Caroline (March) Hasse. He grew up in Roselle, IL and graduated from Palatine High in 1964. Jim lived most of his life in Illinois moving to Kansas in 2004 for his work. He married Glenda Kay Willis on Sept. 25, 1965 in Elgin, IL. Jim was employed by TVH in Olathe where he retired in 2012. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and loved spending time with and bragging about his grandkids. He will be missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Carol Busche, Herbert Hasse, Jr. and Charles Hasse. Jim is survived by his wife, Glenda, of the home; son, James and wife Susan Hasse, Jr., Nashville, TN; daughters: Elizabeth Hasse, Lawrence, MI and Tamara Hasse, Gardner, KS; three grandchildren: Katelyn, Megan and Adam; siblings: Lawrence Hasse, Paw Paw, MI, Fred Hasse, Medford, OR, Sandy Theis, Huntley, IL and Daniel Hasse, Bloomingdale, MI.
