Bill was born February 7, 1951, to Robert George and Grace (Floyd) Radel in Annapolis, Maryland. He graduated from Lima Shawnee High School in Ohio. Bill grew up in Connecticut, moved to Ohio and married Christine Faye Nevergall on July 12, 1969 in Lima, Ohio. They moved to Olathe, then back East to Ohio and then settled in Gardner in 1998. Bill was a Project Manager/Joint Use and worked for United Telephone, Sprint, Embarq and Century Link. Bill was a member of the Blue Valley Baptist Church, Olathe, KS. He enjoyed gardening, riding his motorcycle, was an avid reader and was a lifelong Ohio State Football Fan. Bill loved watching his grandson, Jaylon, play football for Emporia State University. Bill was dedicated to his faith and his great love for the Lord that he shared with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frederick Radel. He is survived by his wife, Chris; children: Michele Lynn (Scott) Williams, Fostoria, OH, Jeffrey Alan (Dr. Lynnea) Radel, Bristol, IN, Jason William (Kelly) Radel, Spring Hill, KS, Brooke Aubrey (Charles) Beavers, Gardner, KS; siblings: Barbara Flynn, CT, Clinton A. Radel, Austin, TX, Patricia Gross, VA, James Radel, FL, Lynn Robey, Lima, OH, Douglas Radel, Paulding, OH, Lora Ambrosa, WA, Roberta Shaw, CT; and five grandchildren: Ashley, Jaylon, Shane, Theo and Lex.
