‘Wild ‘n Wooly’ Johnson County Fair
Posted on Jul. 12th, 2010
The Johnson County Fair is from August 2 through August 6 – just 3 weeks away! This year’s theme is Wild ‘n Wooly.
Remember the steers that danced around town last year? This year its sheep. Keep your eyes peeled – these sheep are in costume, and are ‘hiding in plain sight’ throughout Gardner and Spring Hill. A couple of adventurers can be found in Olathe and Overland park! (This is, after all, the Johnson County Fair.)
Did your kids enjoy the Fair last year? Looking forward to it this year? Just like to color? Print off this year’s Coloring Page. Drop the completed pages off at the Fair Office from July 26 through August 2 in order to enter them in the Coloring Contest. The Fair Office, located at 136 E Washington St, Gardner, KS will be open from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
While you’re at it, check out the Events & Schedule and the Fair Book. This is a 4-H Fair, but is not just for the kids. Particularly proud of your tomatoes? Your photography? Woodworking or quilting? Enter it in the fair! It’s not showing off – just sharing your talents with the community.
