Letter to the Editor: Thank You, Gardner Community

On behalf of the Brent Bays Foundation, we would like to take the time to thank the Gardner Community. Our First Annual 5K Run/Walk was held on Sunday May 16th at Celebration Park. We had nearly 300 runners and walkers, over 60 volunteers and 45 donating sponsors pull together to make our First Annual 5K a huge success!! After all was said and done, the Foundation raised over $12,000 and were able to make a difference in the lives of 3 Gardner families who have been affected financially due to a battle with cancer. It is such a wonderful experience to see a community pull together and do positive things.
The Foundation is continuing with their mission by planning a Bowling Fundraiser. The fundraiser will be held on Saturday August 14th from 3pm - 5pm at Olathe Lanes East, 303 N Lindenwood,
Olathe, KS. Registration is available on our website at www.bbfcancer.org We are encouraging families and individuals to come out for an afternoon of fun!!
