Letter to the Editor: Thanks Gardner and an important correction from The Rustic Connection

First and foremost I want to thank Gardner for a great ride for 6 years. When I opened and renovated 103 S. Elm I was already in love with Gardner but since opening I have had amazing opportunities to meet so many amazing people and groups. The closing of The Rustic Connection was a very difficult decision to make but with my health struggles since my horseback riding accident in April 2007 and the economy it is the right decision for me and my family. If I wasn't convinced at first I am really convinced now since Andrew Hurd's death. Life has a way of racing by and you always think you have tomorrow or this weekend to catch up with your kids, family and friends. So, now I know I will have that time with my family.

The other reason I felt I needed to post was a great article was written in the Gardner Newspaper prior to us opening back up for our going out of business sale. I hired a marketing company to assist me with the closing and we are doing a prize contest. I had expressed that I was told to buy electronics so I shopped local and BOUGHT them at Walmart. They were NOT DONATED and I have made several attempts to get a correction in the paper and at this time have not gotten any response from the paper or even a return phone call. I didn't want to go out of business with the community thinking these items were donated. I love this community, live in this community and my children go to school in our #1 school district.

So THANKS GARDNER FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND BEING THE TIGHTLY KNIT COMMUNITY WE ARE EVEN THOUGH WE ARE GETTING BIGGER!!!!!!!!
