Blazers face tough competition in new league

Gardner Edgerton High School football was picked No.1 among Class 5A schools in Kansas and No.1 in the state overall, but the Blazers will face some tough competition this year in the Eastern League.
Not only will the Blazers play the mix of Class 6A and 5A Blue Valley teams, they'll also face last year's playoff rival St. Thomas Aquinas.
Some of the Blazers' better match ups this season is Blue Valley West, a metro ranked team, Bishop Miege and St. Thomas Aquinas.
But no game in the league is a give-me-win. Here is a composite of the fall league schedule.
