7th JV Volleyball Results
The 7th grade JV Mustangs faced off with Pioneer Ridge on the first match of the season. In the first match the girls started off strong but ended up falling to the Jaguars in a three game match with scores of 25-21, 9-25 and 25-12. In the second match the girls came out with purpose and fought through two games to win the match, 25-21 and 25-21. The highlights of the evening for the young Mustang team were many, the team set a serving goal of 75% and serving a total of 101 serves throughout the evening with 81 of those being good serves (80%) the team met their goal. Individually, Abby Livela lead the scoring efforts with 24 serves for the evening, eleven of those being aces! Setting efforts were led by Briana Nava with 6 assists.
The 7th grade varsity volleyball team made a smashing entrance into their season, ending the night 2-0 against Pioneer Ridge. The Mustangs struggled to return serves during the first game and lost 13-25. However, they battled back the second game with 10 serving aces to win 25-18, sending the match into the third game. Abbie Lane fired off 16 unanswered serves to lead the team to a 25-5 victory. The Lady Mustangs embraced the momentum from the first match and conquered the Jaguars 25-13, 25-20 in the second match. Lyric Henderson led servers in the second match with 10 good serves and 4 aces. Abby Buie, Adrienne Harrelson, and Abbie Lane all contributed three aces as well. Taylor Stewart, Abbie Lane, and Angeliece Tucker had one kill a piece on the night. Lauren Strick led the Mustangs with 14 good sets.

8th JV Volleyball Results
The 8th grade JV Mustangs battled Pioneer Ridge in very close volleyball matches Monday night. In the first match, the mustangs fought hard, but ending up falling in two games with scores of 21-25 and 24-25. Abby Hash led the team in serves with 8 attempts and 3 aces. Jessica Jimenez had an outstanding setting assist to Mekenzi Ford for a kill. In the second match, the Mustangs again fought very hard but lost 24-25 and 22-25. Hanna Desmarteau led the team with 12 serves and 6 aces. Chase Akin was great defensively for the team with 5 playable passes. Myria Smith had two setting assists, while Madi McClure, Katy Chambers, and Hanna Desmarteau each had a kill. The team really came together to improve and battle back throughout the night.

8th Varsity Volleyball results from 8-30-10 at WMS vs. PRMS
First match Scores-- Won 25-22,22-25, 25-19
2nd match scores---Won 17-25, 25-21, 25-18
The Mustangs started the season out strong with 2 huge wins over PRMS. All sets were long, hard fought battles by both teams. These were matches where every point truly mattered. On the night Macey Conrad served 29 times with 9 aces. Bethany Shultz served 35 times with 6 aces. Chelby Abney also served 16 times. Our serves and serve receive was the key to our victory. Outstanding passing was executed by Bethany Shultz and Allison Koelzer. Our kill leaders for the night were Chelby Abney with 7 and Brooke Carlilse with 4. Haley Keehn and Allison Koelzer did a nice job setting. This was a terrific way to start. Coach Hilton was very pleased with their effort and drive to win!
